LAMBETH, SURREY (LONDON)


LEASE DATED 28 MAY 1816

 

A vellum Indenture being a Lease for 61 years of piece or parcel of ground with the two Messuages or Tenements thereon situate in Kennington Lane in the parish of Lambeth in the County of Surrey (now part of London) dated 28 May 1816, Sir Joseph Mawbey, Baronet to Mr Thomas Hatton. The document also has a later Surrender endorsed on the back regarding one of the properties.

The conditions of the Lease include a list of trades business or purposes the property may not be used for without special Licence including victualler, alehouse keeper, butcher, slaughterman, tallow chandler, melter of tallow, soapmaker or soapboiler, sugar baker, fellmonger, coppersmith, blacksmith, common brewer, making grease for carriages, boiling of oil, making of white lead, a dog kennel, keeping of hound dogs or hogs etc
