DOCKHEAD, SOUTHWARK, SURREY


CONVEYANCE DATED 31 AUGUST 1864

 

A vellum Indenture dated 31 August 1864 being a Conveyance of a piece or parcel of ground and the brick built messuage tenement or dwellinghouse and wash house adjoining on part thereof situate in New Street in the parish of St John in the borough of Southwark in the county of Surrey (now part of London), John Hinde Palmer Esquire and the Reverend Watkin Temple to William Gray Jackson. The cover of the document mentions that the property is in Dockhead. The text of the document mentions information from the Last Will and Testament of Luke Hinde and also that the property was then known as No 9 New Street, Saint John's Horsleydown and a tenement No 1 Butler's Place adjoining.
