WANDSWORTH/CLAPHAM, SURREY


MORTGAGE DATED 31 DECEMBER 1873

 

A vellum Indenture on three sheets being a Mortgage dated 31 December 1873 of a Leasehold messuage or tenement and piece or parcel of ground situate on the north east side of a “new road” then lately formed leading from Courland Grove, Larkhall Lane to Union Grove, Wandsworth Road in the parish of Clapham, Surrey (now London) and known as 29 Alford Road. The cover of the document states that the property is in Wandsworth and the actual text of the document says it is in Clapham. Mr John Bryant to The Trustees of the Knightsbridge Mutual Benefit Building Society. On the back of the document is a signed receipt for the full repayment of the monies dated 12 April 1883
