HUNTSPILL, SOMERSET


RELEASE DATED 5 JULY 1804

 

A vellum Indenture being a Release and Deed of Covenant for levying a find of lands at Huntspill in the county of Somerset by way of Mortgage for securing £1000 and interest dated 5 July 1804, Mr Peter Jeffery and his wife to Mr Thomas Lax.

The document gives some information as to whom the land was awarded to by the Commissioners and in respect of which premises in the "inclosure" awards of 1782 including property names such as Cornmoor, Standfasts, Lambs Acre, Deans, Goulds Twenty Acres and Saltland with map numbers.
