A vellum Indenture being a Transfer of Mortgage of a bakehouse, shop, land and premises situate in Market Street, Hanley in the County of Staffordshire for securing £240 and interest dated 24 July 1877, Messrs Pankhurst and Butters to Mrs Mary Peake

Manufacturer of Earthenware of Hanley, Staffordshire. Also party to Indenture dated 28 January 1869 when he lent £200 to William Butters. Lent a further £20 to William Butters by Indenture dated 24 July 1873

William BUTTERS

Labourer of Hanley, Staffordshire. Also party to Indenture dated 28 January 1869 when he borrowed £200 from James William Pankhurst. Borrowed a further £20 from James William Pankhurst by Indenture dated 24 July 1873. Borrowing a further £20 from Mary Peake by this Indenture (who is also paying off the previous two sums of £200 and £20 to James William Pankhurst)

Mary PEAKE

Widow of Stoney Fields in the parish of Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. Paying off the sums of £200 and £20 to James William Pankhurst which he lent to William Butters and lending a further £20 to William Butters making a total sum to be secured by this Indenture to Mary Peake of £240
