PENN, NR WOLVERHAMPTON, STAFFORDSHIRE


MORTGAGE DATED 2 FEBRUARY 1780

 

A vellum Indenture being a Mortgage by Demise of 1000 years for securing £400 and interest of two messuages or dwellinghouses and land situate in Nether Penn in the parish of Penn (near Wolverhampton) in the county of Staffordshire dated 2 February 1780, Mr Richard Holles to Mr Thomas Hill. One of the properties is described as being a capital messuage called Langley Hall with the barns, stable and outbuildings and several pieces or parcels of land which are well detailed. The cover of the document states that the property is in Over Penn but the actual text of the document states Nether Penn in the parish of Penn.
