MRS WILHELMINA WALKER

 

A paper document being a copy of the Last Will and Testament of Wilhelmina Walker residing in Hart Street, Edinburgh dated 17 October 1845 reading as follows:

17th October 1845

Last Will and Testament of

Mrs Wilhelmina Walker

 

I Mistress Wilhelmina Wight or Walker residing in Hart Street Edinburgh relict of the deceased Captain James Walker of the Honorable East India Company’s Service, Do hereby nominate and appoint my youngest daughter Miss Elizabeth Walker to be my sole Executrix and universal Legatory, Leaving and Bequeathing to her the whole goods, gear, debts, sums of money, household furniture, bed and table linen, silver plate, and in general the whole moveable means estate and effects whatsoever that may pertain and be vesting owing to me at the time of my decease with the whole vouchers and instructions thereof, and all that have followed, or may be competent to follow thereon; and specially without prejudice to the said generality I give and Bequeath to the said Miss Elizabeth Walker the Miniatures of the following persons at present in my possession Vizt My late Husband, my deceased son James, also a Miniature of myself.  I give and bequeath to my daughter Mrs Mary Walker or Cathcart the five China Jars in the Drawing room, also a Miniature of herself but always with and under the burden of all my just and lawful debts and Death-Bed and Funeral charges with full power to the said Miss Elizabeth Walker to intromit with the whole of my said moveable estate to give up Inventories thereof to confirm the same and generally to do everything in the premises competent to an Executrix  In Witness whereof I have underscribed these presents written upon this and the preceding page with my own hand at Edinburgh the Seventeenth Day of October Eighteen Hundred and Forty Five
