This is the last Will and Testament of me Margaret Norton Purcell of Kensall Green Harrow
Road in the county of Middlesex being of sound mind memory and understanding
I do give devise and bequeath unto my friend Benjamin Simmonds of Kensall
Green aforesaid Esquire his heirs executors administrators and assigns
absolutely and unconditionally to and for his and their own use and benefit
All my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever of or to which I
am seized possessed or entitled or as to which I have any power of
disposition or appointment by Will And I do hereby ratify and confirm all and
every acts and deeds which I may have hitherto done or executed to or in
favour of the said Benjamin Simmonds And I do declare it to be my wish that
the said Benjamin Simmonds shall (if he shall think fit and His Majesty shall
be pleased to grant) take and bear the surname and Arms of Purcell instead of
or in conjunction with his present name and Arms of Simmonds And I do hereby
appoint the said Benjamin Simmonds sole executor of this my will and do
revoke all other wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made and do
declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal the thirteenth day of December 1829

presence of us who in her presence and in the presence of each other and at
her request have subscribed our names as witnesses

tag seal of the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury:
William by Divine Providence, Archbishop of
Canterbury, Primate of All England, and Metropolitan, do by these presents
make known to all men, that on the fourteenth day of February in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty at London, before the
Worshipful William Robinson Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of The Right
Honorable Sir Herbert Jenner Knight, Doctor of Laws, Master, Keeper or
Commissary of our Prerogative Court of Canterbury, lawfully constituted the
last Will and Testament of Margaret Norton Purcell late of Kensall Green
Harrow Road in the county of Middlesex spinster deceased hereunto annexed,
was proved, approved, and registered; the said Deceased having whilst living,
and at the time of her death, goods, chattels, or credits, in divers dioceses
or jurisdictions, by reason whereof the proving and registering of the said
Will, and the granting Administration of all and singular the said goods,
chattels, and credits, and also the auditing, allowing, and final discharging
the account thereof, are well known to appertain only and wholly to us, and
not to any inferior judge; and that Administration of all and singular the
goods, chattels, and credits of the said Deceased, and any way concerning her
Will was granted to Benjamin Simmonds Esquire the sole executor named in the
said will he having been already sworn well and faithfully to administer the
same, and to make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said
goods, chattels, and credits, and to exhibit the same into the Registry of
our said Court, on or before the last day of August next ensuing, and also to
render a just and true account thereof. Given at the time and place above written
and in the twelfth year of our translation
