Newman of Finchley in the County of Middlesex dated 6 April 1759 reading
as follows:

Last Will and Testament with Probate
Of George Newman deceased
In the name of God Amen I George Newman of the parish of
Finchley in the county of Middlesex being sick of body but of sound and
perfect mind, memory and understanding (Praised be Almighty God for the same)
Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as
followeth (that is to say) First and most principally I Commend my Soul to
Almighty God my Creator In humble hopes through his Mercy and the Merits of
his Son Jesus Christ My Redeemer to have full and free pardon and forgiveness
of all my Sins And to inherit Everlasting Life And my body I commit to the
earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter
named And as touching the disposal of all such Temporal Estate it hath
pleased God to bestow upon me I do give and dispose thereof as followeth
(that is to say) First I will and desire that all my lawful debts and funeral
expenses be fully paid and discharged And all my Estate Goods Chattel and
Effects whatsoever and wheresoever to me Appertaining and belonging I do give
and bequeath the whole and every part thereof unto Mary my dear wife who I do
hereby also make and ordain full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth
day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty
nine

We Thomas by Divine permission Bishop of London
of whom all manner of jurisdiction within Diocese of London pending episcopal
visitation is notoriously known to belong Do by these presents make known to
all men that on the twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and fifty nine before the Worshipful Arthur Collier
Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Worshipful John Bettesworth also Doctor of
Laws our Vicar General and Official Principal lawfully constituted the last
Will and Testament of George Newman late of the parish of Finchley in the
county of Middlesex deceased (hereunto annexed) was proved approved and
registered and Administration of all and singular the goods chattels and
credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his Will was granted to
Mary Newman widow the relict of the said deceased and sole executrix named in
the said Will being first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same
and to make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said goods
chattels and credits and to exhibit the same unto the Registry of our
Consistory Court of London on or before the last day of July next ensuing and
also to render a just and true account thereof
