being the Admission of Mr William Tolley to the Manor of Isleworth Syon
Middlesex on the Surrender of Mrs Elizabeth Gibson and others and the Surrender
to his Will of all his Copyhold premises dated 21 December 1822 reading as follows:

Admission of Mr William Tolley on the
Surrender of Mrs Elizabeth Gibson and Others
And
Surrender to his Will of All his Copyhold Premises
The Special Court Baron of the Most Noble Hugh Duke and
Earl of Northumberland Earl and Baron Percy Baron Lucy Poynings Fitzpayne
Bryan Latimer and Warkworth and Baronet Lord of the said Manor held at
Isleworth within the said Manor on Saturday the twenty first day of December
in the third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Fourth by the
Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender
of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
twenty two Before Joseph Morris gentleman Deputy of Jonathan Raine Esquire
Chief Steward there
Afterwards to this Court come again the aforesaid Elizabeth
Gibson John Dodemeade and Sarah his wife in their own proper persons and (she
the said Sarah being first solely and separately examined by the said deputy
Steward apart from her said husband and thereto consenting) In consideration
of the sum of one hundred and fifty eight pounds of lawful money of Great
Britain to them the said Elizabeth Gibson John Dodemeade and Sarah his wife
in hand well and truly paid by William Tolley of Twickenham in the said
county of Middlesex grocer at or immediately before the making of this
surrender the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged she the said Elizabeth
Gibson In open Court surrenders by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the
said Manor by the hands and acceptance of the said deputy Steward according
to the custom of the said Manor All that her estate for life and the said
John Dodemeade and Sarah his wife in like manner surrender All that the reversion
immediately expectant of her the said Sarah Dodemeade on the death of the
aforesaid Elizabeth Gibson of and in All that piece or parcel of
copyhold land containing by admeasurement one Rood and three perches be the
same little more or less (being part and parcel of the aforesaid piece or
parcel of land to which the aforesaid Richard Gibson the testator deceased
was admitted tenant under the award of the aforesaid Commissioners) bounded
on the North by land of William Dew on the East by the Hounslow Heath Road on
the South by land of Abraham French and on the West by other part of the said
piece or parcel of land at this Court surrendered by them the said Elizabeth
Gibson John Dodemeade and Sarah his wife to James Stanbrough together with
all those substantial new built brick cottages or tenements erected and built
on the said piece or parcel of land by him the said Richard Gibson deceased
with the Gardens yards pump rights members and appurtenances thereunto
respectively belonging (to which said piece or parcel of land and premises
they the said Elizabeth Gibson and Sarah Dodemeade were at this court
admitted tenants as aforesaid) and the reversion and reversions remainder and
remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest
property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Elizabeth Gibson John
Dodemeade and Sarah his wife or any or either of them of in to or out of the
same and every or any part or parcel thereof To the use and behoof of
the aforesaid William Tolley his heirs and assigns for ever at the will of
the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor Who being present
here in court in his own proper person humbly craves of the Lord of the said
Manor to be admitted tenant To all those the aforesaid customary or copyhold
cottages or tenements gardens yards pump land hereditaments and premises with
the rights members and appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging so
surrendered to his use as aforesaid To whom the Lord of the said Manor
by the said deputy Steward granteth and delivereth seisin thereof by the Rod
To have and to hold the same to him the said William Tolley his heirs and
assigns forever To be Holden of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod at the
will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the rents
Heriots customs and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he
gives to the Lord for fines and Heriots as in the margin appeareth and is
admitted tenant thereto accordingly but his fealty is respited because &c
And immediately afterwards the said
William Tolley in open Court surrendered all and singular the copyhold
hereditaments and premises held by him of the Lord of the said Manor To the
use of his Will
