The Manor of Isleworth Syon
In the County of Middlesex
The General Court Baron Of the Most Noble
Hugh Duke and Earl of Northumberland Earl and Baron Percy Baron Lucy Poynings
Fitzpayne Bryan Latimer and Warkworth and Baronet Lord of the said Manor held
at Isleworth within the said Manor on Thursday the twenty seventh day of
October in the second year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord William the Fourth
by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith And in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty one Before Joseph Morris Esquire Steward there
Afterwards to this Court come again
the said James Harding Tolley and George Tolley in their own proper persons
And in consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten pounds of lawful money
of Great Britain to them in hand well and truly paid by Philip King of Putney
in the county of Surrey at or immediately before the making of this surrender
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged In open Court surrender by the rod
into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the hands and acceptance of
the said Steward according to the custom of the said Manor All that the aforesaid piece or
parcel of copyhold land situate and being on Hounslow Heath in the said
parish of Twickenham containing by admeasurement one rood and three perches
be the same little more or less bounded on the North by land of William Dew
on the East by the Hounslow Heath Road on the South by land of Abraham French
and on the West by land of James Stanbrough together with all those three
substantial brick cottages or tenements erected and built on the said piece
or parcel of land by Richard Gibson deceased with the Gardens yards pumps
rights members and appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging (To which
premises amongst others they the said James Harding Tolley and George Tolley
were at this Court admitted tenants under the Will of the aforesaid William
Tolley deceased as aforesaid) And the reversion and reversions remainder and
remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the estate right title
interest use trust property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said
James Harding Tolley and George Tolley or either of them of in to or out of
the same and every or any part or parcel thereof To the use and behoof of the aforesaid Philip King his heirs and
assigns for ever at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said
Manor Who being present here in
Court in his own proper person humbly craves of the Lord of the said Manor to
be admitted tenant To all those
the aforesaid Copyhold or Customary cottages or tenements gardens yards pumps
land hereditaments and premises with the rights members and appurtenances
thereunto respectively belonging so surrendered to his use as aforesaid To whom the Lord of the said Manor
by the said Steward granteth and delivereth seizin thereof by the rod To have and to hold the same to him
the said Philip King his heirs and assigns for ever To be holden of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod at the
Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the rents
heriots customs and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he
gives to the Lord for fines and heriots as in the margin appeareth and is
admitted tenant thereto accordingly but his fealty is respited because &c
To this Court comes James
Stanbrough of Isleworth aforesaid Esquire in his own proper person and In consideration
of the sum of sixty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand
well and truly paid by the aforesaid Philip King at or immediately before the
making of this Surrender the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged In open
Court surrenders by the rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by
the hands and acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the
said Manor All that piece or
parcel of copyhold land or garden ground containing two roods and eleven
perches be the same little more or less situate and being on Hounslow Heath
in the parish of Twickenham aforesaid bounded on the North by land of the
Trustee of Edward Bird and of blank Brazier on the East by the
aforesaid cottages or tenements to which the said Philip King was at this
Court admitted tenant as aforesaid on the South by land of Abraham French and
on the West by land of His Majesty (To which said piece or parcel of land and
premises he the said James Stanbrough was admitted Tenant at a Court held for
the said Manor on the twenty first day of December one thousand eight hundred
and twenty two on the Surrender of Elizabeth Gibson and John Dodemeade and
Sarah his wife) And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders
rents issues and profits thereof And all the estate right title interest
property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said James Stanbrough of in
to or out of the same and every or any part or parcel thereof To the use and behoof of the
aforesaid Philip King his heirs and assigns for ever at the Will of the Lord
according to the custom of the said Manor
Who being present here in Court in his own proper person humbly craves of
the Lord of the said Manor to be admitted tenant To all that the aforesaid
piece or parcel of copyhold or customary land hereditaments and premises with
the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging so surrendered to
his use as aforesaid To whom the
Lord of the said Manor by the said Steward granteth and delivereth seizin
thereof by the rod To have and to hold
the same to him the said Philip King his heirs and assigns for ever To be holden of the Lord of the said
Manor by the rod at the will of the said Lord according to the custom of the
said Manor by the rents heriots customs and services therefore due and of
right accustomed and he gives to the Lord for a fine as in the margin
appeareth and is admitted tenant thereto accordingly but his fealty is
respited because &c
And immediately afterwards the said
Philip King in open court surrendered all and singular the Copyhold
hereditaments and premises held by him of the Lord of the said Manor To the
use of his will
