William Mericke Doctor of Lawes Master Keeper or
Comissary of the Prerogative Courte of Canterbury lawfully constituted in the
Right or name of the Deane and Chapter of the Cathedrall and Metropoliticall
Church of Christ Canterbury to whome all and all manner of Jurisdiction
Spirituall and Ecclesiasticall belonginge to the Archiepiscopall See of
Canterbury when full (the same See beinge now void) doth manifestly appertaine
to Elizabeth Williams als Naylor the now wife of Robert Williams and the
naturall and lawfull and eldest daughter of James Naylor late of Grayes Inne
Lane in the parish of St Andrewes Holbourne London in the county of Middlesex
intestate deceased Greeteinge Wheareas the said deceased dyed without
any will leaveinge goods chattells and debts in severall Jurisdictions
sufficient to found the Jurisdiction of the Prerogative Courte of Canterbury Wee
therefore willinge and desireinge that the goods chattells and debts of
the sayd deceased might bee faithfully administered and piously disposed of
doe hereby give and grant unto you the said Elizabeth Williams als Naylor
full power and Authority to Administer all and singular the goods chattells
and debts of the sayd deceased (not onely to your owne use but alsoe to the
use and benefitt of Richard Naylor William Naylor and Daniel Naylor the sonnes
and Rebecca Crosse als Naylor the daughter of the sayd deceased and your
brothers and sister) and faithfully to dispose of the same and to demand
collect leavie and in legall manner require and receive all and all manner of
debt and debts due and oweings to the sayd deceased and out of the goods
chattells and debts of the sayd deceased which have may or shall come to your
hands or possession truly to pay the debts due by the sayd deceased soe farr
forth as the same shall thereto extend and the Lawe charge you accordinge to
the true value thereof you haveinge first taken your oath truly to Administer
the same and to make a true Inventary of all and singular the goods chattells
and debts of the sayd deceased which have shall or may come to your hands
possession or knowledge and alsoe a just Accompte upon your Administer
therein and to exhibite both into the Registry of the sayd Prerogative Courte
touchinge which Inventary you are assigned to performe within nyne dayes
after the date hereof And an Accompte at or before the second day after the
Feast of St Michaell the Archangell which shall be in the yeare of our Lord
one thousand six hundred and sixtye one And lastly wee doe hereby constitute
you the sayd Elizabeth Williams als Naylor Administratrixe of all and
singular the goods chattells and debts of the sayd deceased not onely for
your owne use but alsoe to the use and benefitt of the sayd Richard Naylor
William Naylor and Daniel Naylor the sonnes and Rebecca Crosse als Naylor the
daughter of the said deceased and your brothers and sister (Anne Naylor the
relict of the sayd deceased havinge first legally renounced the admon as by
the Acts of Courte appeareth) Witnes the sayd William Merricke at
London the tenth day of July in the twelveth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraine
Lord Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland Kinge
Defender of the Faith &c
