being a Probate copy of the Last Will and Testament of Edward Masters of London
dated 8 July 1720 reading as follows:

Will dated 7 July 1720
Probate dated 2 November 1723
In the name of God Amen I Edward Masters
Citizen and Cooper of London being in good health of body and of sound and
disposing mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same Do this
seaventh day of July one thousand seven hundred and twenty make my last Will
and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I resigne my Soule
into the hands of Almighty God that gave it And my body I comítt to the earth
to be decently buryed at the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named and
as touching such worldly estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me I
give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I will that all my just debts
and funeral charges shall be first paid and discharged Item I do hereby will
order and direct that all and singular my household goods and implements of
household plate wines stock in trade bonds bills debts securityes for moneys
and all other my personal estate of what kind or nature soever shall within
one month next after my decease be valued and appraised by two indifferent
persons one whereof to be nominated and chosen by my dear and loving wife
Elizabeth Masters and the other by Joseph Studley of London gentleman my
overseer hereinafter named and after my said debts funeral expenses and
Legacyes hereinafter given are paid and satisfyed I will that all my said
personal estate shall be divided into three equal parts one full and equal
third part whereof I will and bequeath unto my said loving wife Elizabeth
Masters her executors administrators and assigns for ever Item one other full
and equal third part of my said personal estate I give and bequeath unto and
between my loving son and daughter Edward and Elizabeth Masters to be equally
divided between them share and share alike and in case either of them shall
happen to dye before they shall attain their respective ages of one and
twenty years or be married then I do give the part and share of him or her so
dying unto the survivor of them and his and her executors administrators and
assignes for ever Item as for and concerning the remaining third part of my
said personal estate which I have liberty by the Custome of the City of
London to dispose of I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto and between
my said loving wife Elizabeth Masters and my said daughter Elizabeth Masters
to be equally divided between them share and share alike Item I give to my
loving brother Robert Masters the sume of ten pounds for mourning and to the
said Joseph Studley the like sume of ten pounds and I do hereby desire the
said Joseph Studley to be overseer of this my will and to assist my said wife
and children in placeing out their moneys at interest from time to time as
there shall be occasion And lastly I do hereby make my said loving wife
Elizabeth Masters sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament And do
hereby revoke all former and other wills and Testaments by me at any time
heretofore made In witness whereof I the said Edward Masters have to this my
will contained in one large sheet of paper set my hand and seale the day and
year above written

by the said testator as and for his last Will and Testament and attested by
us whose names are hereunder subscribed in the presence of the said testator
