Wine Merchant and Hotel Keeper of Petersfield, Hampshire. Married to his “present wife” since the year 1834. Purchasing land from William Chase and Robert Crafts for £130.

Gentleman, deceased, of Bowyer Place in the parish of Steep, Hampshire. Former owner of property. Last Will and Testament dated 11 August 1858. Father of Caroline Chase, William Chase and Robert Chase, father in law of John Ryde Cooke. Died on 1 May 1859. Will proved in the District Registry of Winchester in Her Majesty’s Court of Probate on 23 August 1859

Caroline CHASE

Daughter of John Chase. Inherited a cottage and garden called Princes Bridge Cottage in the parish of Liss, Hampshire from her father.

John Ryde COOKE

Son in law of John Chase and trustee and executor of his Last Will and Testament. Died on 12 October 1862 and was buried on 17 October 1862 in the parish of Holy Trinity Guildford, Surrey
