LEASE
DATED 11 OCTOBER 1815

Indenture being a Lease for a year of a piece or parcel of land situate in Bishops
Wood in the parish of Walford in the County of Hereford dated 11 October 1815,
Mr Thomas Cadugan to Mr John Whiting reading as follows:

This Indenture made the eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifteen Between Thomas Cadugan of the
parish of Walford in the county of Hereford Yeoman of the one part and John
Whiting of the same parish collier of the other part Witnesseth that
the said Thomas Cadugan for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings
of lawful British money to him in hand paid by the said John Whiting at or
before the sealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged) Hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents Doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Whiting his
executors and administrators All that piece or parcel of land situate
lying and being in Bishops Wood in the parish of Walford aforesaid and now or
late in the possession of the said Thomas Cadugan adjoining to land of James
Williams and divided from other lands of the said Thomas Cadugan by a Team
Road leading from Drybrook towards the Lower Mill and containing by
estimation two customary acres or thereabouts (be the same more or less)
Together with all outhouses commons common of pasture fruit and other trees
woods underwoods and the ground and soil thereof hedges ditches mounds bounds
fences ways waters watercourses rights profits privileges emoluments
advantages hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said piece or parcel
of land and hereditaments belonging or in any wise appertaining or to or with
the same or any part thereof now or at any time heretofore usually had held
used occupied possessed or enjoyed or accepted reputed deemed taken or known
as part parcel or member thereof or appurtenant thereunto And the reversion
and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and
of every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold all and every the
premises before mentioned or intended to be hereby granted bargained and sold
with their appurtenances unto the said John Whiting his executors
administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of
these presents unto the end and for and during the full term of one whole
year thence next ensuing and fully to be complete and ended To the intent
and purpose nevertheless that by virtue of these presents and of the
statute made and provided for transferring of uses into possession He the
said John Whiting may be in the actual possession of the said premises and be
thereby enabled to accept a Grant and Release of the Reversion and
Inheritance thereof to him and his heirs for ever To and for such use and
uses as in and by such Grant and Release shall be limited expressed and
declared and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever In
witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set
their hands and seals the day and year first above written
