LEASE
DATED 11 APRIL 1817

Indenture being a Lease to vest possession of a piece or parcel of arable land
called the Far Ground situate at Mayos Hill in the parish of Walford in the
County of Hereford dated 11 April 1817, Mr John Teague to Mr James Whiting
reading as follows:

This Indenture made the eleventh day of April in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen Between John
Teague of the parish of Walford in the county of Hereford Yeoman of the one
part and James Whiting of the parish of Walford aforesaid Yeoman of the other
part Witnesseth that the said John Teague in consideration of five
shillings of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said
James Whiting the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for other good
causes and considerations the said John Teague hereunto moving Hath
bargained and sold and by these presents Doth bargain and sell unto
the said James Whiting his executors administrators and assigns All
that piece or parcel of arable land called the Far Ground containing by
estimation one acre or thereabouts be the same more or less situate and being
at a place called Mayos Hill opposite to the Warren of Kingsmill Evans
Esquire in the parish of Walford in the said county of Hereford late in the
tenure or occupation of the said John Teague but now of the said James
Whiting and bounded by land of John Whiting and the road there on all parts
thereof Together with all edifices buildings ways waters watercourses Commons
common of pasture commodities privileges emoluments advantages hereditaments
and appurtenances whatsoever to the said piece or parcel of land and
hereditaments belonging or appertaining or accepted reputed deemed taken or
known as part parcel or member thereof or as belonging to the same or any
part thereof And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents
issues and profits of the said premises and every part thereof To have and
to hold the said piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises
hereinbefore bargained and sold or intended so to be and every part thereof
with the appurtenances unto the said James Whiting his executors
administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of
these presents for and during and unto the full end and term of one whole
year thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended Yielding
and paying therefore the rent of one peppercorn at the expiration of the said
term if the same shall be lawfully demanded To the intent and purpose that by
virtue of these presents and of the statute for transferring uses into possession
the said James Whiting may be in the actual possession of the same
hereditaments and premises and may thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant
and Release of the freehold reversion and inheritance of the same premises
and of every part and parcel thereof to the said James Whiting his heirs and
assigns To the uses and for the intents and purposes to be declared by
another Indenture already prepared and intended to be dated the day next
after the day of the date hereof In witness whereof the said parties
to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year
first above written
