CODDINGTON, HEREFORDSHIRE


LEASE DATED 16 MARCH 1840

 

 

A vellum Indenture being a Lease for a year of a piece or parcel of land situate in the parish of Coddington which is located north of Ledbury in the County of Herefordshire dated 16 March 1840, Thomas Crisp to Thomas Heywood Esquire. PARTIES TO DOCUMENT

This Indenture made the sixteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty Between Thomas Crisp of Coddington in the county of Hereford Yeoman of the one part and Thomas Heywood of Hope End in the parish of Colwall in the county of Hereford Esquire of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of five shillings to the said Thomas Crisp paid by the said Thomas Heywood the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged He the said Thomas Crisp Doth bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Heywood his executors administrators and assigns All that piece or parcel of Meadow land containing by estimation eight perches or thereabouts be the same more or less situate in the parish of Coddington in the county of Hereford and bounded by land belonging to the Rector of Coddington and the Turnpike Road leading from Bosbury to Coddington on all parts or sides thereof and now in the occupation of Robert Summers Together with all privileges commodities advantages emoluments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or appertaining And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders yearly and other rents issues and profits thereof To have and to hold the said hereditaments and premises hereby bargained and sold by the said Thomas Crisp and their appurtenances unto the said Thomas Heywood his executors administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for the term of one whole year Yielding and paying therefore unto the said Thomas Crisp his heirs and assigns the rent of one pepper corn on the last day of the said term if the same rent shall be lawfully demanded In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written
