ASSIGNMENT DATED 21 JUNE 1870

 

A vellum Indenture being an Assignment of two lots of land and four messuages or dwellinghouses thereon known as 1, 2, 3 and 4 Bush Street, Barton Hill in the parish of Saint George in the County of Gloucestershire (now part of Bristol) dated 21 June 1870, Mrs Mary Ann Smith (Administratrix of John Smith deceased) and his Mortgagee to Henry Fletcher. The document also recites some earlier Indentures.

Party to Indenture dated 24 December 1841 and also Indenture dated 24 June 1861 when he borrowed £138 from the Mortgagees in the Indenture. Also party to Indenture dated 1 February 1865 when he paid of the £138 to the Mortgagees and borrowed £160 from Edmund Stevenson. Borrowed a further £40 from Edmund Stevenson by Indenture dated 7 August 1867. Died on 27 May 1870 intestate. Letters of Administration granted to Mary Ann Smith on 11 June 1870 by the Bristol District Registry of the Court of Probate
