MORTGAGE DATED 24 APRIL 1845

 

A vellum Indenture being a Mortgage dated 24 April 1845 of a close or paddock with a capital messuage or dwellinghouse, coachhouse, stable, pigsties, offices built on the paddock in or near Lawrence Hill or Moorfields formerly in the parish of St Philips and Jacob but then in the parish of St George in Gloucestershire and which is now part of Bristol and a piece or parcel of ground which had been converted into a pond or place for holding water formerly in the occupation of the proprietors for supplying the city of Bristol with fresh water where John White Emblin is borrowing money from Edward Daniel and Joseph Barker subject to an earlier Mortgage to John Alvis
