A vellum Indenture being a Release
and Covenant to indemnify dated The document concerns the Trust Funds created by the Marriage Settlement between Charles Paul and Ann Paul of £1,600 in which Ann Paul has a life estate and which is then to be divided between the ten children. Out of these funds, the amount of £80 has already been paid to Alfred Wallis Paul and he has requested the balance of his tenth share, ie. £80, to be advanced to him which his mother has agreed to do. William Peck paid the £80 to Alfred Wallis Paul and this document confirms that Ann Paul “in consideration of the natural love and affection which she hath and beareth for the said Alfred Wallis Paul” has agreed to relinquish and give up her life interest in his tenth share and that both of them will indemnify William Bishop Peck again all actions, claims and demands etc.
