PINHOE, DEVON


COUNTERPART LEASE DATED 1 NOVEMBER 1802

 

A vellum Indenture being a Counterpart Lease for 10 years of Pin Court Barton in the parish of Pinhoe near Exeter in the county of Devon dated 1 November 1802, Messrs George Tincombe, William Tincombe and Samuel Fox to Mr Roger Nicks.

This interesting document also contains covenants for how the land should be managed during the term account to the Rules of good Husbandry such as he shall dress and manure every acre of the demised premises which he shall break up with eight hogsheads of good well burnt Stone Lime or one hundred and sixty horse seams of good black stall dung.
