STOCKLAND, DORSET/DEVON


TRANSFER OF MORTGAGE DATED 4 JANUARY 1780

 

A vellum Indenture being a Transfer of Mortgage of Lands which are named situate within the Parish and Manor of Stockland in the County of Dorset dated 4 January 1780, Mrs Williams and Mr John Newberry to Mr Thomas How. The document is regarding monies owed by John Newberry and includes information regarding other Indentures

NB Stockland was previously a detached part of Dorset until 1842 when it was added to the County of Devon
