Last Will and Testament
Of James Prince
Of Bradley in the County of Derby
Dated 16 May 1716
In the Name of God Amen the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand
seaven hundred and sixteen I James Prince of Bradley in the county of Derby
lying under great weaknesse and distemper of body but of sound and disposeing
minde and memory (praised be God) doe make constitute and ordain this my last
Will and Testament in manner following First I resigne my soul to Almighty God
and my body I comitt to the earth to be decently buryed att the discretion of
my Executors hereafter named And as to my worldly estate I do give and
dispose of the same in manner following, that is to say I give and devise All
my messuages houses lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever with all the
appurtenances thereto belonging situate lying and being in Osmaston or
elsewhere in the county of Derby to my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Prince
and to her heires for ever Item It is my Will and desire that all my just
debts be paid and by minde and will is that all my personall estate be applyed
in the first place to the payment of the same as far as it will extend Lastly
I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my uncle Mr Thomas Alsopp of
Edlaston and my cozen Mr John Alsopp of Ashbourne executors of this my Will
hereby revokeing all former and other Wills by mee att any time heretofore
made In witnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and
year first above written

presence of the testator
