ST JUST IN ROSELAND, CORNWALL

ORDINATION DATED 25 SEPTEMBER 1743

A small but excellent vellum document being the Ordination of Charles Pye, Bachelor of Arts, by Nicolas, Lord Bishop of Exeter, to the Sacred Order of a Deacon and to the Curacy of St Just in Roseland in the county of Cornwall and in the Diocese of Exeter dated 25 September 1743. The document bears the seal of Nicolas, Lord Bishop of Exeter. A real rarity.

The document also has endorsements on the back showing when it was exhibited for the various Visitations of the Lord Bishop of Exeter to Truro and Bodmin.

Please see the bottom of this page for information as to the availability of the original 1743 vellum document.
