POWER OF ATTORNEY DATED 12 NOVEMBER 1887

 

A vellum Indenture being a Power of Attorney to receive Tithe Rent Charge and other income of the Rectory of St Mabyn in the County of Cornwall dated 12 November 1887, Reverend R Vautier to Mrs E P Hooper.

From the document it appears that Rev Vautier owed £5000 to Mrs Hooper and she had agreed not to take proceedings to enforce the payment of the debt if he gave her the authority to receive the Tithe Rent Charges and the other rents and Income of the Rectory until the debt was paid. Out of the income he was to be allowed a sum not exceeding £250 per year for the maintenance of himself and his family.
