A vellum Indenture being a Lease for a year of a messuage, tenement or dwellinghouse and lands situate at Charlton in the parish of Wantage in the County of Berkshire dated 1 April 1805, Mr Benjamin Buckner to Mr John Cheer. The town of Wantage was in Berkshire until 1974, since when it has been in Oxfordshire
